Another Cordy Update

Cordy is fully recovered, I no longer have to drag him out of his cage, he leaps out at me like usual. I am waiting on blood results for dna and something else. I will update more when I hear back from the vet.

Cordy Update

Well, I took Cordy to the vet today, and after having blood drawn and tested and giving them $150 dollars.....they told me his blood is showing signs of infection, whether it was bacterial or viral, they couldn't tell me. So, he is on antibiotics now, and goes in for more blood tests in two weeks. Also, he is overweight, and the vet said he was a 'perch potato'. So, I guess I need to get him more active, lol

Overall, i am glad I took him, cause he is sick with something or another, more tests will be done in two weeks.

Cordy is acting strange

My 1 yr old Severe Macaw isn't acting like his usual self.....I have to reach in and get him out of his cage, he usually jumps out at me, in a hurry to get to me...now I have to coax him out....been this way for about a week or two.
He isn't as playful. I am thinking I should take him to the vet. I see no signs of illness, we have no other birds. We do have two cats and a dog and a fishtank that we have always had since before we got him a year ago. His last vet visit was about 3 or 4 months ago for a bird well visit, no tests or anything were done, just a check up.
